600m down and 30kms in

My photography gives me many opportunities to travel, I’ve been to some amazing locations, one of my recent favourites is an underground mine. On this shoot I went 600 meters straight down and then travelled 30 kilometres in a vehicle called a Driftrunner to reach the location. Down there it’s tough and dark, very dark so knowing how to use precious light and communicate to people working in harsh environments is paramount. Meet Wade, my driver and chaperone.
